New or returning player? Join us on the pitch for Back to Hockey in Bristol!

Arriving at my first training session I was very nervous and apprehensive as my fitness was pretty ropey, I had next to no hockey skills and I didn't know anybody. I had nothing to worry about, though as everyone was so friendly and welcoming.

What do I need to bring with me?

If you don't have a stick, don't worry we have plenty of spare sticks and you can wear any sports trainers for your first few practises. We do recommend getting some shin pads, as the ball does hurt if it lands on your shin. If you intend to stay on playing hockey we do recommend buying and bringing your own gum shield, shin pads and hockey gloves. We can help by recommending the best places to go and you can usually get a discount on kit from shops by being a member of the club.

See you on the pitch!
